    "I have a month on my lease and I really didnt want to have to service my car. I went in with a bad attitude thinking I would have to spend money and time on a car I wasnt going to use. But Philip took get care of me. He asked me lots of questions about what was wrong with the car aside from the service light. Reluctanly I told all the little things that wre wrong thinking it was going to cost me. Not only was all of this covered, Philip told me but he would rent me a car while my car was being serviced so I could continue on with my day. What?!!! All was as he said. My car was ready around the time he said. AND it didnt cost a thing. This actually made me love my Mini a little more. And to top it off when I picked it up it was washed and looked better than it had in a long time. I have a blue black that always looks black. Yet that day I saw a deep beautiful blue.     "This was the most disastrous service experience that I have ever had with any vehicle that I have ever owned. So many things went wrong, and the insincere apologies that I received from the individuals that I was working with were not helpful. They replaced my windshield wrong, I called the service department and asked if I could take my car to Long Beach MINI, and was told that I could so the numerous issues could be resolved (crooked windshield, broken rain gutters, scratched paint, excess glue left on the car). When I arrived at Long Beach MINI they refused to touch the car even though the car was under warranty. I had to drive from Long Beach MINI to Universal MINI in traffic, wasting my gas, to have these issue resolved. I was met with service members that did not want to redo the windshield, until I had them open up a brand new MINI and showed them how off their work was. They finally agreed to redo the glass, and fix the gutter. The scratched clear coat was not taken care of, nor was the excess glue still framing the windshield. I also had to fight to get a loaner car for the day, and when I refused to pay for the gas I was met with great resistance. They sited that if I was driving my own car, I would be paying for gas. This is true. But if they had done the work correctly the first time, I would be driving my own car, and not need a loaner. I was not offered any compensation what so ever.     "I have owned my MINI since 2009... When I first got it there was a problem with the upholstery but I never got around to fixing it. I finally went in to have it fixed along with other things. I had a loaner for 2 days and got my car back. A day later I noticed that the original problem with the upholstery was fixed but when fixing it they created another upholstery issue in a different spot. It was a 45 minutes wait time to p/u my car.     "I was actually really frustrated by my experience. Setting up the appointment and actually dropping my car off was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We did a full 100% check of my car, and noted various issues, such as the broken antenna (wasn't picking up the Sirius service), as well as small little nicks around the exterior of the car. i know that these nicks aren't covered under the warranty, but I was told that they would be no problem to fix. I took my car in on a Monday, and I didn't have it returned until Friday. Not even once during the whole 5 days my car was in the service center was I contacted by the service team, even though I was told that they would call me with updates. Thursday afternoon I called and was told that if my car wasn't finished that night it would definitely be done first thing in the morning and they would let me know. "Great!" I thought. Cut to Friday morning, by 10:30 I still hadn't heard from anyone. When I called I was forwarded to my service managers voicemail, where I left a brief message. When I still hadn't heard from him an hour later I called back, to be told my car would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. When I picked up my car none of the little nicks had been fixed (which is totally fine, I understand they are not covered) but don't tell me that you're going to fix them if you're not going to. Also, and this is less of a deal, but just something that irked me - my car was not washed. I know that this is something I shouldnt have expected, but every other car I've owned, when taking it in for service it's come back at least washed. Mini has always gone above and beyond in my opinion.     "I had to wait 3.5 hours for an oil change/maintenance visit. The staff was friendly, but that is entirely too long to wait. Granted, they told me it could take 2 to 2.5 hours, which at the time I thought was a lot, especially since I had an appointment, but I agreed. The problem, as far as I could tell, had to do with little or no attention to coordination of appointments and the ability of service personnel.
